How your data is handled at Resify

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Resify collects when you use getresify.com and the Resify platform, how we use it (including for analytics, marketing, and advertising), and the choices you have.

1

Who we are

"Resify", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the operator of getresify.com and the Resify platform (the "Services"). Resify lets accommodation operators turn an existing Airbnb or Booking.com listing into their own direct booking website.

This policy explains how Resify handles personal data in connection with the Services. For any personal data submitted, uploaded, or collected through a booking website that a customer runs on Resify (including guest booking data), the Resify customer — i.e. the host — is the sole data controller and is fully responsible for their own privacy notice, lawful basis, and responses to data subject requests. Resify acts only as a technical service provider in that context. By accessing or using the Services you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you interact with the Services:

  • Account information: name, email address, password hash, company details, and any other information you submit when you register, update your profile, or contact us.
  • Billing metadata: subscription plan, invoices, last-four digits and brand of the payment method, and billing address. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never touch our servers.
  • Property content: anything you import, upload, or type into the builder, including listings fetched from public Airbnb or Booking.com URLs, images, descriptions, pricing, availability, amenities, and settings.
  • Booking and guest data: when a guest books through a Resify-powered site we process their name, email, phone number, check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, room selection, notes, booking reference, and payment status on behalf of the host.
  • Usage, device, and location data: IP address, approximate geolocation derived from IP, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, language, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, scroll depth, search queries, session recordings and heatmaps (where enabled), and other behavioral and technical telemetry from our website, the dashboard, and the guest-facing booking sites we host.
  • Marketing and advertising data: information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies from our own properties and from third-party advertising and analytics partners — including ad clicks and impressions, campaign attribution, UTM parameters, conversion events, cross-device identifiers, hashed email addresses, and audience or segment information used for retargeting and lookalike modeling.
  • Communications: the content of emails, support requests, chat messages, and any other correspondence you send to us or that we send to you.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including building and hosting your direct booking website, processing reservations, syncing availability, and routing guest payments via our payment processors.
  • Personalize your experience and the experience of visitors to Resify-powered sites, including through profiling based on behavior, interests, device, and location.
  • Run analytics, measurement, and marketing: track how visitors and customers interact with getresify.com, the dashboard, and guest-facing booking sites; measure conversion rates, funnel performance, and product usage; attribute signups to marketing campaigns; build audiences and lookalikes; retarget visitors across advertising networks; send transactional and promotional email, SMS, and push notifications about Resify, new features, offers, and partner products; and test and optimize the above.
  • Train, evaluate, and improve our machine learning models and algorithms, and generate aggregated or de-identified insights that we may publish or share for any purpose.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Resify, our users, and the public.
  • Comply with applicable laws, respond to legal requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), the performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interests in operating and growing the Services as the legal basis for processing.

Cookies, pixels, and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, web beacons, local storage, device identifiers, and similar technologies (collectively, "tracking technologies") on getresify.com, the dashboard, and the guest-facing booking sites we host, for four purposes:

  • Strictly necessary — to keep you signed in, maintain your builder draft, and run the booking checkout.
  • Analytics and performance — to understand how people find and use the Services, which features work, and where they drop off.
  • Marketing and advertising — to show you relevant Resify ads on other platforms, measure campaign performance, attribute signups, and build custom and lookalike audiences.
  • Personalization — to remember your preferences and tailor content and offers to you.

You can manage non-essential tracking through the cookie preferences shown when you first visit, through your browser settings, or through industry opt-out tools. Disabling tracking may affect how the Services work for you.

5

Who we share it with

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

  • Infrastructure and service providers that help us run the Services, including hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, image delivery, payment processing, customer support, and logging (for example Supabase, Vercel, Railway, Stripe, Resend, and Cloudinary).
  • Analytics, advertising, and marketing partners that help us measure, optimize, and promote the Services, including product analytics, session replay, heatmap, A/B testing, attribution, ad network, marketing automation, and CRM providers. These partners may combine data they receive from us with data they collect about you elsewhere and may place their own cookies and tracking technologies on the Services.
  • Hosts using Resify — booking data submitted through a host's booking site is made available to that host, who is the controller of that data.
  • Corporate transactions and affiliates — in the context of a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, insolvency, restructuring, or similar event, personal data may be transferred to the acquirer or successor and used under their own privacy policy.
  • Legal and safety — law enforcement, regulators, courts, and other parties when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Resify, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal data in exchange for money. Some sharing with advertising and analytics partners may be considered "sharing" or "selling" under certain privacy laws; where required, you can exercise available opt-out rights as described below.

6

International transfers

Resify and its service providers operate globally, and personal data we collect may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. By using the Services you acknowledge and consent to these transfers.

7

How long we keep it

We retain personal data for as long as is necessary to provide the Services, to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, and for our legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention, analytics, and marketing. Backups, logs, and aggregated or de-identified data may be retained for longer. Specific retention periods depend on the category of data and the purpose of processing and may change from time to time.

8

Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Services at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

9

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain processing of your personal data, to object to processing, or to withdraw consent. Most actions are self-serve from your Resify dashboard — you can edit your profile, remove content, cancel your subscription, and request account deletion at any time. For anything else, email matej@getresify.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and may decline requests to the extent permitted by law. If you are a guest whose booking data is held on a host's Resify site, the host is the controller of that data and you should contact them directly.

10

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

11

Third-party links and sites

The Services may contain links to, or integrate with, websites and services operated by third parties. This policy does not apply to those third parties and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. You should review their own policies before providing personal data.

12

Changes to this policy

Resify may update this policy at any time at its sole discretion. The updated policy will be posted on getresify.com and takes effect immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
